Scuba diving is an excellent way to see the beautiful corals and marine life of lakshadweep islands.  Scuba diving can also be a very relaxing sport.  Scuba diving is also suitable for people with a number of physical disabilities. As long as you can use the breathing equipment and are able to successfully propel yourself underwater you may be able to dive
The Lakshadweep islands have two world class Scuba diving schools, at Agatti island and at Bangaram island.  You are welcome to find out yourself the difference of diving in Lakshadweep from some of the world famous diving spots.
The Dive Centre
Feeding of fish has never been practiced here, hence all sea creatures still behave in their natural way.  Please help us to maintain it.  Do not attempt to ride turtles and manta rays.  The dive centre caters to beginners and for experienced divers.  Two boat dives a day in different locations, of which only a few are mentioned below
Shallow Point
Ease of Dive: Intermediate
Dive type: Reef dive
Description: Great for beginners and advanced divers as well. Loads of sand and coral heads. Nesting site for Titan Triggerfish during season. Also Angelfish, Leopard Morays, Lionfish and loads of tiny stuff to look out for on the heads
Manta Point
The reef with impressive coral structures descends slowly to 20m.  Manta rays can be seen throughout the year, but more likely during September to December and in April-May.  Whale sharks are also sighted here.  More common are turtles, nurse sharks and napoleons

Princess Royal Wreck
Ease of Dive: Advanced
Dive type: Wreck Dive
Description: Remains of a 200 year old British Galleon that was discovered by Andreas Heidman, the previous dive instructor at Bangaram. The bell has been salvaged and housed at the museum at Agatti. Three canons remain at 10 meters and some crockery at about 23 meters.

For a minimum of 4 days. Inclusive of introduction to snorkeling, 4 lagoon dives, minimum 4 open water dives, theory sessions and a practical as well as written test at the end to certify. Any extra dives after these are chargeable.
