As long as you can use the breathing equipment and are able to successfully propel yourself underwater you may be able to dive
The Lakshadweep islands have two world class Scuba diving schools, at Agatti island and at Bangaram island.  You are welcome to find out yourself the difference of diving in Lakshadweep from some of the world famous diving spots.
The Dive Centre
Feeding of fish has never been practiced here, hence all sea creatures still behave in their natural way.  Please help us to maintain it.  Do not attempt to ride turtles and manta rays.  The dive centre caters to beginners and for experienced divers.  Two boat dives a day in different locations, of which only a few are mentioned below
Shallow Point
A dive to a maximum of 15m with exposure to the sandy coral environment, the likelihood to see sand eels, leopard Murray eels, lion fish, sting rays and white tip sharks
Manta Point
The reef with impressive coral structures descends slowly to 20m.  Manta rays can be seen throughout the year, but more likely during September to December and in April-May.  Whale sharks are also sighted here.  More common are turtles, nurse sharks and napoleons
